The government is one of the largest employers in most areas around the country at a federal, state and local level. Workers report to facilities that are often older and maintenanced according to outdated standards. Reports of poor Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is common and can lead to lawsuits, expanded complaints of issues by coworkers, and a damaged reputation to the department or agency when it’s reported to the media. Responding to complaints in a timely manner is critical. As is a long-term plan to ensure that the employee environments are regularly tested for the various indoor contaminants that can impact their health.
